B11.03. What documents must be attached to the application?

You must submit the following documents with your application:

  • Master's degree diploma and bachelor's degree diploma authenticated* ;
  • Certificate of the bachelor's and master's degrees authenticated*(Course Units discriminated with respective marks and ECTS);
  • Curriculum Vitae;
  • Proof of your application submitted in accordance with the protocol, if applicable;
  • A statement from the institution that issued your transcript of records or the Embassy indicating your final grade average and the grading scale used by that institution, including the minimum classification required for a pass (if not included in the transcript of records), if you hold a foreign degree. This statement must reflect the conversion of your mark into the Portuguese grading scale and is required to select candidates for the International Student Scholarship.
  • If you are a national of a non-EU country, a document confirming that you do not enjoy international student status (pursuant to Article 3 of Decree-Law 62/2018 ), but you fall under one of the criteria to which such status does not apply.
In the Opening notice of the course to which you are applying, additional documents may be required and should be attached to your application in PDF format.

Applications will only be reviewed after the application fee has been paid.

*The authentication applies in the case of foreign qualifications obtained outside the European Union, and the application will not be validated/refused if the above documents are not attached with the proper authentication that can be made:
- either by the consular services or embassies of Portugal in the country from which the qualification was obtained
- or by the consular services or embassies of foreign countries in Portugal
- or by Hague Apostille, for countries that adhere to the Hague Convention

. In case of placement and effective matriculation, the student will be enrolled in the compulsory course units and considered a tuition fee debtor, being able to obtain the Letter of Acceptance in his/her student profile in SIIUE:

  • Until 30 days after enrollment, submit through student profile in SIIUE, the proof of visa request, in case the international student does not reside in Portugal;
  • Until August 31 of the year of enrollment, present in the UÉ's Academic Services the prerequisites in case the 1st cycle course or Integrated Master's Degree in which he is enrolled requires it;
  • Until November 30, present the original documents of the qualification certificates included in the application, identification document and the Visa at UÉ's Academic Services Office,
The student who does not proceed according to the above mentioned deadlines, the placement and enrollment will be cancelled. No proof of enrollment, certificate of achievement or certification document will be issued until the aforementioned procedures are carried out.

After paying the application fee, Academic Services will analyze if the required documents were dully attached given that:

  • The application only will be validated/accepted if submitted with all required documents, in which case the candidate is notified of its validation.
  • The application will be refused if the candidate does not fulfill the admission conditions to the course to which is applying for, or if the missing documents weren’t attached to the application within the referred deadline. The candidate will be notified of that and, if he/she wants, may reapply in subsequent phases of application.
The application will not be validated in case of missing documents, in which case the candidate is notified that he/she has 48 hours to access and submit again the application in SIIUE.

Note that the notifications should be consulted in SIIUE through the credentials used to submit the application. An email is also sent, however as sometimes it may be considered spam, the candidates must be careful and consult the SIIUE to see if they have notifications.
