You should submit, through GESDOC request, a proof of acquisition of Portuguese nationality and the date on which you obtained it, and only in the academic year following the date on which you obtained it, the international student regime will be withdrawn.

If you have already obtained Portuguese nationality before January 1st of the year in wish you want to apply for admission, you cannot apply through the special admission contest for international students, as you do not have the status of international student.
