The following documents must be submitted with the application form:

- Proof of the undergraduate degree, which must include the final classification obtained in the degree (does not apply to qualifications obtained at UÉ);

- Curriculum Vitae;

- Proof of nationality (if you are from a country outside the European Union, but fall within the exceptions to international student status under Article 3 of Decree-Law 62/2018).

- Seal of the Order of Nurses, in the case of applicants for master's degrees in nursing;

- Certificate of approval in tests attesting to oral and written mastery of the Portuguese language and mastery of the essential rules of logical and critical argumentation, in the event that they have passed these tests at another Higher Education Institution, for candidates for master's degrees that confer professional qualifications for teaching in pre-school education and basic and secondary education;

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, the open call rules of the respective course may define additional documentation that must be attached to the application.

Each document must be scanned in pdf or jpg format and it must be ensured that :

a) if the classification is not included on the degree diploma, a statement from the Higher Education Institution that awarded the degree must be submitted to prove the conclusion classification;

b) if the classification of conclusion does not correspond to the numerical scale of 0-20, a document issued by the origin Institution of the qualifications, by the Ministry of Education or by the Embassy must be submitted, with the maximum classification of that scale and the minimum classification to which the approval corresponds,

c) if the qualification documents have been issued by an entity from a country outside the European Union, these documents must be authenticated in one of the following ways:

i. The consulates or embassies of Portugal in the origin country where the candidate obtained their qualifications;

If you do not submit a document proving the final classification obtained in the bachelor's degree on a scale of 0-20, nor do you submit the documents referred to above in a) and b), the candidate will be ranked with a mark of 10 for the purposes of ranking and for calculating scholarships for international students.

After paying the application fee, Academic Services will analyze if the required documents were dully attached given that:

  • The application only will be validated/accepted if submitted with all required documents, in which case the candidate is notified of its validation.
  • The application will be refused if the candidate does not fulfill the admission conditions to the course to which is applying for, or if the missing documents weren’t attached to the application within the referred deadline. The candidate will be notified of that and, if he/she wants, may reapply in subsequent phases of application.

  • The application will not be validated in case of missing documents, in which case the candidate is notified that he/she has 24 hours to access and submit again the application in SIIUE.The candidate will be notified of that and, if he/she wants, may reapply in subsequent phases of application.

Note that the notifications should be consulted in SIIUE through the credentials used to submit the application. An email is also sent, however as sometimes it may be considered spam, the candidates must be careful and consult the SIIUE to see if they have notifications.
